The Hoops hero was less than impressed with the Ibrox attacker throughout the Old Firm clash at Ibrox.

Chris Sutton has branded Fabio Silva an 'embarrassment' and accused him of 'cheating' after Rangers' penalty award.

The on loan Wolves attacker was initially handed a yellow card from referee John Beaton for simulation after he went down under the challenge of Alistair Johnston. However, the man in the middle was sent to the monitor for a second viewing and overturned the decision and in the process withdrew his yellow card. Sutton on co-commentary branded the reversal from the referee 'embarrassing' as he let rip over the attacker and the whole flashpoint moment.

Delivering his views on the key talking point alongside Kenny Miller, Sutton started: "He's been an embarrassment. Throwing himself around all afternoon. It's really good to see. That's called cheating. John Beaton quite right to give him the yellow card." Miller: "He's done it too many times. This must be the fourth or fifth time that he's thrown himself down on the ground. There is very little contact, if any."Miller: "Listen, his right boot is across his knee but he also touches the ball. There is no doubt he's gone down. It's not the contact that has led him to go down."

Sutton replied: "This would be embarrassing if he awarded a penalty. He's already on his way down. You shouldn't be rewarded for cheating. There has to be sufficient contact. Is this a clear and obvious error? Of course it isn't. It's an embarrassing climb down from John Beaton. It really is. Dear me."
