Shirley Ballas has thanked fans for their kind words of support as she shared an update after sharing worrying news about her health. Last week, the Strictly Come Dancing star shared a photo of herself on social media last week after undergoing a biopsy following a routine mammogram.
Shirley later revealed she's had three biopsies and also says her biggest fear is that she will die before her 87-year-old mother, Audrey. She also told how their was a history of cancer in her family as Audrey was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018, but is now in remission, and Shirley’s grandmother, grandfather and aunt all had the disease.
Shirley wrote: "I am feeling blessed to share that my results have come back all clear there is no cancer present Sharing the picture to my story last week very much triggered my emotions, but I feel it’s only right for me to share both the highs and the lows of life. She added: "Please do not put your mammogram, smear test or in fact any appointment off. They really can change your life. Who knows what may have happened if I put mine off? Get booked, get checked, get your body MOT everyone. With immense gratitude to friends, family and fans who reached out. I appreciate you more than you know."
