The Worthy Farm festival returns on Wednesday, June 26 to Sunday, June 30. Glastonbury is a British staple, legendary for its iconic Pyramid Stage, hit-and-miss camping conditions, and the biggest artists from around the world.
The site is "set beneath an oak tree decor canopy", with the intention of "zeroing into the immersive, ambient and experimental". The area is set to be open from Wednesday onwards. According to its posters, guests must " successfully answer a question from the UKGOV citizenship test." The intention is to repurpose a "weapon of destruction into a unifying symbol. For younger festivalgoers, Arcadia has another brand new area, The Alchemists' Playground.
A description of the new area, situated in Shangri-La, describes visitors entering through "a portal to an alien jungle planet, immersed by an audiovisual world coded in solar punk, carnivorous plants, cyborg beasts and space pirates".
