Only the Guardian would think keeping criminals who entered the country illegally away from law abiding citizens to be shameful. The rest of us think it's just common sense.

if they're open centres, then good, it was the right choice because, they should not put desperate and potentially criminal adults next to children. They should make these centres closed type, until these men(in majority), go back to their countries.

The Italian attitude to immigration is fascinating to say the least, given that half the US population are called Bepe DiCampo.

What's shameful about it? Guardian fails to report rapes of children by migrants in Europe, eg Sweden, but finds this shameful. I find the Guardian pretty shameful in it's partiality in choosing what to report. Others call it censoring. It's why your readers are ignorant.
