Sergio Aguero record which lasted 21 years shattered by 14-year-old in Argentina

Sergio Aguero is one of the greatest strikers to ever play in the Premier League, so it's fitting that he scored the most famous goal in the competition's history.He also broke plenty of records during his 10-year spell in England, including the most goals scored by an overseas player in the Premier League and the most Premier League hat-tricks .

When Aguero became the youngster player to appear in professional football in Argentina when he made his debut for Independiente on July 5, 2003, at the age of 15 years and 33 days.On Thursday, Mateo Apolonio made his debut for Deportivo Riestra at the age of 14 years and 29 days, shattering Aguero's record.The midfielder came off the bench in the 84th minute of Riestra's 1-0 home defeat to Newell's Old Boys in the last 16 of the Copa Argentina.

Ahead of the match, Riestra coach Cristian Fabbiani hinted at Apolonio's inclusion, stating his belief in the 14-year-old's readiness for professional competition.
