Sergio Aguero ’s record as the youngest player to appear in a professional match in Argentina was broken on Thursday - after more than 20 years.
Apolonio was introduced in the 84th minute of Riestra’s 1-0 Copa Argentina defeat, replacing midfielder Gonzalo Bravo.Aguero had Chelsea rumour confirmed to him as he recalls history could have been different Riestra head coach Cristian Fabbiani last week hinted that Apolonio was in line to make his senior debut, claiming the youngster was ready for the demands of professional football.
