SENIOR Tories have demanded the Prime Minister scrap the two-metre social distancing rule to get pubs open and serving more people.
Countries around the world including Denmark and Australia have followed social distancing with either 1 or 1.5 metres in between people, rather than 2 metres.Mr Clark told The Telegraph: "The difference between two metres and 1.5 metres may seem small but it can be the difference between people being able to go to work and losing their jobs.
Former Brexit secretary David Davis also threw his support behind relaxing the 2 metre rule and said changes to the furlough scheme should be implemented "in-step" with easing social distancing. He said: "What will happen is that they will shut, meaning the furlough money is wasted, and there will be no tax revenue from that business."
