Kwasi Kwarteng says closing parliament's bars would be 'excessively puritanical' as MPs call for culture changeMr Kwarteng also admitted that the scheme to deal with sexual misconduct allegations in parliament, which was set up in 2018, 'isn't working sufficiently well' but 'needs time to really get going'. So out of touch! work places with bars? Many workplaces would treat it as Gross misconduct if you were drinking alcohol whilst at work. Culture & Govchange required The bars and restaurants should not be subsidised by the tax payers. Many working people can't afford basics yet MPs with a £2.000 pay rise don't pay full price at Westminster. IMO alcohol shouldn't be consumed in any workplace whilst working. Put in place the same arrangements in the HoC as exists in the NHS. And absolutely no booze during working hours.
