Yes he also said a good result would be 20k deaths now he has stated we could have 50k cases by mid October. People have completely lost faith in the scientific advice that lurches from one wild guess to the next.
They have not had any real idea from the start. There are much better minds out there that could have been contributing to the methods of managing the virus.
Yet on 14.9 you wrote a story about Sir Patrick getting into trouble for suggesting an earlier lockdown. Picking and choosing?! Is this another ploy to blame the scientists. Lost any faith I had in the media now!
If sir Patrick had stuck to his guns back in March and convinced government to follow the Swedish approach who knows, we might not be facing another 6 months of restrictions now. Lockdowns only change the shape of the curve, not the area underneath it.

The policy has never changed, herd immunity is what they have always been working towards, even mass vaccination is a form of herd immunity.
