Sci-fi 'floating city' of the future called Oceanix 'will survive floods, tsunamis and hurricanes'

PLANS for an eco floating city that can withstand batterings from tsunamis and hurricanes have been unveiled.

"Floating cities are a means of ensuring climate resilience, as buildings can rise along with the sea," said UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed. These dangerous weather events are expected to increase with rising global temperatures caused by climate change.
