I have been at a similar threshold, in 2011 and again in 2013 (both times made redundant). It can happen, it does happen to hardworking people everyday. I have known real hunger and faced loosing everything. When circumstances are bad we need good people to help.

Why doesn't Marcus Rashford understand that the voucher scheme for free school meals have been replaced with extra cash payments in two forms: 1. Govt has given COUNCILS billions of extra money to feed poor kids 2. Increased Universal Credit payments have been upped for meals
This situation should be dealt with by local councils, if parents are saying they can’t feed kids social workers should be assessing why they can’t, just providing free meals to all will potentially mask serious problems.
