A former paratrooper has attempted a new world record for jumping from an aircraft into water without a parachute.

Support divers said he was briefly unconscious when he hit the water and was taken to hospital as a precaution. The former member of the Parachute Regiment from Havant, Hampshire, fell about four seconds before hitting the Solent at about 80mph .
Divers who reached Mr Bream after the jump said he had landed awkwardly and was briefly unconscious after hitting his head.image copyrightCash raised from Mr Bream's attempt will be donated to the All Call Signs and the Support Our Paras charities."The transition from the military is difficult but I want to show that we don't need to live in the past and we all can still achieve brilliance," he said.
A spokesperson for Guinness World Records said it was still awaiting evidence of Mr Bream's attempt and could not verify it until then.
Did the Milk Tray get wet?
Did he attempt it or did he do it
Hit the water at 80mph 😱
Or was he just late for the tanker thing and forgot his rope?
Good grief there’s some dense people on Twitter, actually take the time to read and digest the article before making a comment
Half way through he changed his mind
I can assure anyone wondering that it’s quite possible to attempt a record jump without a parachute from a helicopter from any height. How could he fail?
So risking killing yourself motivates rich people be charitable. Such is the burden we tolerate in this sadistic world.

Breaking news - survived the jump into the Solent, but choked to death on used sanitary towels and radioactive turds.
QI once stated it costs the NHS more on treating injuries from failed fundraising parachute jumps than it receives in money raised by these acts...
How do you attempt to jump out of a helicopter? Either you jump or don't jump - unless he couldn't get his seat belt off. Surely it should be hopes to survive jump...
Raving mad.. 👏👏👏
A fall. Surely that’s more fall than jump?
Why?
Needs his head checked
Why?
Why?
Is that why he's an ex paratrooper 🤣🤣🤣
How stupid 😆
Does he not think the NHS has enough to do notnow
'He was raising money for mental health charities'? I think he needs to avail of their services.
So.. did he do it? Or is he still falling...
Imagine doing this on an actual ops. Unconscious before you get to the beach. And the enemy would hear the splash! Not recommended.
Up next ...how many minstrels does it take to choke a badger.
He would have been taking his own life if he did not survive jump.
suicide؟!
Why?
