Russia said Finland was 'pushing above its weight' as it suggested joining NATO. Putin's EU ambassador vowed to boost defences on the countries' shared border. Vladimir Chizhov said if Finland joins there may be 'military-technical measures'.

Lol, says the country who's army is being decimated by a smaller army mainly made up of troops who were housewives, teachers, shopkeepers etc with a weeks training! Russian equipment, training, logistics & management are absolute crap, yet they STILL think they are world leaders!

Russia can't even complete their objective in Ukraine, let alone in a fight with NATO. Just a bit of chest puffing and fearmongering. I can understand everyone wants to join NATO after they've seen what happens when you're not.

Maybe that's why they want the weight of NATO behind them?
