The stretch of road affected runs between the Temple roundabout and Comber Road crossroads. Police request that drivers avoid the area and seek alternative routes as a result. A tweet at 12.27am on Sunday Trafficwatch NI read: "Leaving Lisburn -The Saintfield Road, is currently closed due to an RTC. The road is closed between the Temple roundabout and Comber Road crossroads - Please avoid the area and find an alternative route."
