Road cordoned off and police carrying out stop checks

At around 10.30pm this evening, May 20, a passersby spotted four police cars and one police van on McBride Street in Garston Village. A police cordon was in place on the road, with stop checks reportedly being carried out.

Pictures from the scene show a bike within the cordon and a cap in the middle of the road. It is not known whether the two items are linked to the incident.
