Real life of Corrie's Harriet Bibby - real age, second job and life after exit

This week, Summer Spellman said farewell to her 'three dads' as she took up an unmissable opportunity away from Weatherfield. The exit of the teenager, played by Harriet Bibby, from Coronation Street was actually revealed in February when she told her guardian Billy Mayhew she had been offered a chance to study in America.

Later Billy, Paul and Todd Grimshaw bid an emotional farewell to Summer as she set off in the back of a taxi with the trio watching on with tears in their eyes. Summer leaving for Boston also means an exit for actress Harriet who made her Corrie debut back in 2020 when she took on the recast role after the previous actress who played her, Matilda Freeman, decided to leave.

She also told the publication: "I am fully invested in Corrie and have not done any other acting bits. I don’t have any solid plans to leave the show, but there is always something in the back of my head that I would love to do more theatre work. I teach singing, so feed into my love of theatre through that."

Despite being one of of Corrie's main characters for the past four years, Harriet previously revealed that she hadn’t given up her teaching role completely. She to work as a singing teacher before she joined the Corrie crew. "I saw my phone ringing and thought, 'I can’t answer it!' I had to wait until one of the other teachers came in and I said, 'Can you just take the class; I need to go and answer this call!'" Back in June 2022, Harriet also showed off her hidden singing talent as she put her voice to a new charity single.
