Coronation Street fans will soon see the 'scariest thing' Jodie Prenger has had to film as terrifying scenes are set to air in the ITV soap. Viewers were introduced to the actress' character Glenda Shuttleworth in 2022. She is the 'fun and sassy' sister of George, played by Tony Maudsley, who made his first appearance in Weatherfield back in 2020.
The night is lacking in romance aside from Daisy's mum Christina taking a shine to a guy with a tattoo. Soon, with the chaos of the evening over and the pub closed, Glenda heads through to the bar to find masked burglars raiding the till. One of the men orders Glenda to get down on the floor and, terrified, Glenda does as she’s told.
"It was a very bad judgement and one thing led to another which was without a doubt one of the scariest things I've ever shot in my entire career... We all nip to the kitchen for a glass of water and something catches her eye and she goes in and is utterly horrified. It's the worst feeling I think for anyone to go through. To see someone invading your home, your private space and something you are there to protect and look after.
But Jodie's home life couldn't be more different to the character she is now playing on-screen with an array of rescue animals - from dogs to cows and chickens.. "You wouldn't recognise me at home," she previously told us. "There's no big hair or false eyelashes when I'm out with the animals. No heels or fancy clothes. There I am in my wellies and, to be honest, I'm feral.
