Real Betis demolished by Barcelona as Rangers Europa League dealt 2 injury blows

Real Betis have been dealt a major reality check in La Liga by Barcelona just days before they face Rangers in the Europa League.

And Michael Beale's side could be set to face off against a depleted Betis side as the Spanish outfit sweat over the fitness of two key players going into Thursday's showdown at Ibrox. Manuel Pellegrini had led his side to positive start to the season as the Seville outfit punched above their weight in the upper reaches of La Liga during the early rounds of the season - but Xavi's champions thumped out a major thumping to knock Betis down a peg.

Joao Felix, Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, Raphinha and Ferran Torres all got their names on the scoresheet in a 5-0 stroll as Barcelona leapfrogged Real Madrid to move to the top of the table. But aside from the defeat there are two major doubts for the Rangers clash. Goalkeeper Rui Silva was replaced at half-time and looks to a major doubt for the Europa League opener. Forward Luiz Henrique also limped off in the first half of the clash.

The result leaves Betis eighth in the table. However, Rangers will hope to pile on the misery and go on a European surge this term.
