PUB beer sales have halved since the turn of the century — with industry bosses blaming the high rate of tax on a pint.
But growing numbers drink less beer and up to 20 per cent of pubs have closed since the start of the millennium., clubs, hotels and restaurants, fell by 2.8 per cent in the second quarter of this year compared to last year.
Lets drink to that tonight x
has it?
Don't these bosses realise the higher the basic price of a pint the more tax you pay.
Cuz the price has risen
Just paid 2 and a half euros for a pint of Amstel in Spain , £4+ in Uk , why the difference 🍺
No surprise, most pubs are now supermarkets
No wonder ... Prices have rocketed and that is why so many shops are closing in England as well as pubs
To expensive these days
Cos it’s like a fiver a pint ffs
That's because beer has gone up 3.3 billion percent
Prefer other, more natural, herbal vices these days I’m afraid. You know, those less likely to take thirty years off my life!
Smoking ban
Wonder why
Damn White Claw.
Yeah of course because most of the pubs in the UK have been closed down. 🤔
Foreigners dont go for a pot and prices have rocketed
Duuh
Pure greed by the PubCo’s. It serves them right.
Because they shutting all the pubs and making flats out of them for foreigners might be a contributor 🙄
Yep the joyless mps who banned gun and ramped up prices. Thanks UKLabour
Well for the price of 2 pints in a pub you can get 8 cans + a bottle of something from places like Aldi 🤪
