In response, the brand has issued a public apology on Instagram and is now offering a £10k Compensation Pot, giving offended individuals the chance to claim a month's supply of Pot Noodle as compensation.

Pot Noodle ’s most recent TV ad featuring an office worker slurping one of the meals has caused uproar amongst Brits who have taken to X in protest. In response, Pot Noodle took to Instagram to issue a public apology, but not everyone was satisfied.

Lena Portchmouth, Marketing Manager at Pot Noodle: “We know our slurping has caused a stir across the nation – and we have been personally contacted for promoting this sound in such a big way. However, here at Pot Noodle, we are still firm believers in the slurp and all that it represents – the ultimate satisfaction.
