Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of an unresponsive male on Olympic Street, Beswick, at just before 11am on Saturday. Despite the efforts of members of the public and emergency services at the scene, the victim, a 57-year-old man, was pronounced dead.
‘This is a tragic incident where a man has lost his life and our priority at this time is supporting his family and getting them the answers they deserve. Our thoughts remain with them at this devastating time. ‘I understand and share the shock that this incident will cause the community.’ She called for anyone who saw anything suspicious or who witnessed the incident to come forward.
