Philippe Clement has challenged the Rangers support to blow the roof off Ibrox and help bomb Benfica out of the Europa League.
"We knew we were playing a really good team and we had to beat them. Also, maybe because just a few weeks before, there was not electric atmosphere in the stadium. So it was a big change. For this game, I hope that the fans surprise me. I think if we can qualify for the next round, they can blow the roof off the building.
He said: "I heard that on the radio and I was surprised that people are thinking about that already. It's still a long, long way to go to think about the final. We have to think about Benfica first. We're only thinking about one game at a time. I just need my players to give their best — qualifying would be an amazing thing. Nobody would have dreamt about that even two months ago, to quality against a team like Benfica. So let us focus first on that.
“But that has been the strength of the team all season, that everybody in the group is available. I know that Benfica rested four or five players at the weekend towards this game. But my players are ready. I saw enough today, I see the freshness is back, the hunger is really big. We know we need to play above our level to qualify but we’re going to do everything to do that and the support of the fans can give something extra.
