Philippe Clement insists his ravenous Rangers players have the hunger to send shockwaves around the continent by dumping Benfica out of the Europa League.
The Ibrox side earned a 2-2 draw in the Estadio da Luz in Lisbon last week and Clement has challenged his players to follow that up and secure a place in Friday’s quarter final draw. And he has urged the fans – who he says could have sold the early kick off out THREE TIMES – to help the players make it a night to remember. Clement said: “We are realistic, we know Benfica has a really talented squad. World Cup winners in that team and young talents who will go for big money.
“Todd is ready to play a number of minutes a discussed with the medical staff. Clearly not 90 minutes. He was good in the training and I’m happy to see him back. Dujon Sterling will not be in the squad, it is a minor issue but we won’t take the risk - we will see where he is ahead of Sunday. Ross McCausland did one part of training today and we will see tomorrow how he is. Every day when I step into the dressing room I see the dynamic and the will that is there.
