Peaky Blinders' The Grey Man finally unmasked in finale

' and 'The Man With Green Eyes' appeared in premonitions throughout season six's run, starting with young Ruby's frankly horrifying drawings when she began to fall sick. She imagined The Grey Man was coming for her, naming The Man With Green Eyes as who she was drawing.

But after being diagnosed with tuberculoma and preparing to die by suicide rather than face the diminishing brain disease, the ghost of Tommy's daughter returned to him to warn him he was not sick at all.The Man With Green Eyes and The Grey Man, despite our suspicions, were one and the same person. It was the easily-dismissed Dr Holford, who had given Tommy the deadly diagnosis.

He even roped in other doctors to back up his claim should Tommy want a second opinion. The reason behind it – fascism. Dr Holford had been Tommy's doctor for three years, but had a bitter hatred of gypsies, and the Peaky Blinders' leader is proud of his heritage.Recruited by the fascist party led by Oswald Mosley , Dr Holford was instructed to give Tommy the diagnosis.
