Surely it is far more than that? Many care workers alone are on min wage

Yes, I'm one of them

Of course they do , why is this a surprise !

That's higher than the average living wage Excellent news

AndyBurnhamGM I don’t know why they needed a study for this, it’s pretty common knowledge

AndyBurnhamGM my daughter working 12 hr nights in a care home with a dementia section , min wage £8.72 / hr , no shift pay , no sick pay......come on you leaders , strike now while there is a tsunami of public support , get it sorted by campaigning to amalgamate social care with NHS.

How else are the multi-millionaires owners supposed to make their money if they don’t cheat the real workers

SpanishDan1 And this is news how?

InnaMood I think you’ll find that is £10 ph for night shifts. Ludicrous! Most shifts are 12 hours too! I was offered job as clinical HCA so ECGS, bloods, patient obs etc. 12 hr shifts, no free parking, £9.68ph 1 30 break for ‘lunch’ and a 15 min break to take a ‘rest’ 😳UKLIFE 🤯

I love how this is News to people? 😂 The divide between Rich and Poor couldn't BE any bigger!!!!

AndyBurnhamGM The stagnation of wages for everyone outside of the top 5% is a national scandal and needs addressing. If we all got paid a decent wage we could afford to pay for items that were made locally by people paid a living wage, have savings and pay enough for booze to keep pubs open.

There should be a National scheme as child allowance for everyone to get (Equality). In the National Interest for everyone to stay safe

Not a suprise . Some delivery company's have gave workers a back door pay cut while increasing the workload . Unfortunately many company's cashing in . It's not the workers seeing any benefit . It's either do ur job or someone else will

Things need to change after this. These people have kept us all going, at considersble personal risk. This govt, and unscrupulous employers have to stop treating them like second class citizens.

Time for Key workers to have at least a living wage over £30k plus employee profit share !

This should be a high priority when for the Government. When asking someone to risk there life for 8,9 and 10 pound a hour. And the the MPs get a payrise and 10000 pound to stay at home. BorisJohnson
