The late announcement of coronavirus restrictions being tightened for large parts of northern England still manages to make many of the front pages."North in lockdown 2" is the headline in the Daily Mirror, which says Manchester, Yorkshire and Lancashire have been hit by the move.The Times says four million people will be affected by the tightening of the rules.
It says the study suggests these lifestyle habits - along with other factors - could be responsible for 340,000 of Britain's 850,000 dementia cases.It's the same story on the front of the Daily Express, which calls it a"major breakthrough" by scientists. It claims tens of thousands of dementia case could be prevented each year by"simple lifestyle changes".
Meanwhile, those of us in the North East and Cumbria have no such restrictions. Or are we too northern to count? Oh, that’s right, we never do count to the London-centric media 🙄
