Nicole Richie revealed she has always been 'open' about her wild child past with her daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 14.
'I knew that, you know, that they would be on the internet one day,' she mused. 'And so, they're gonna find out, they do have fingers and so, you know, I'm going to be, I was, I've been very transparent with them.' 'I have too because I didn't wanna, like, pretend and then have them find out,' the talk show host told Richie.
'We're not perfect and we are humans and I love who my kids are,' she said. 'So I just enjoy who they are. I learn so much from them. I love slash am terrified sometimes of seeing myself through their lens.' When asked by Barrymore if her kids ever call her out about her past antics, the 42-year-old reality star explained she's always been 'very open with' her kids'It turns out they're really insightful,' Barrymore said, to which Richie added: 'Yes. They are. Yes, because they watch you all day long.'
Barrymore, who is close friends with Richie's sister-in-law, Cameron Diaz, also gushed that she would be meeting the There's Something About Mary star's son, Cardinal Madden.
