‘The ability to give early warnings to hospitals where there are those local increases and I think we are going to need the biggest-ever flu immunisation season we have ever had.’ Sir Simon said there were more than 20 research groups working on a vaccine, with some suggesting one could be available between September and December.

‘But there is still quite considerable uncertainty as to how you would administer it, would it be two doses or one?‘How long does the immunity last?Sir Simon said there could be ‘very significant’ extra costs to the NHS later this year around the flu vaccination campaign, personal protective equipment and sustaining extra hospital beds.

Asked how much it could cost, he said: ‘That is a dialogue we are having, but all the signs are that we will get the support we need.’

Heres a thought does the media ever think to print the thoughts of positive thinking ( experts?) Thats if there is a expert in this as it seems that no-one really knows what will or won't happen it is all could be .

Dont have Negative thinking Think good it wil happen

One key factor being missing is the growing evidence that 74% of cases are asymptomatic and so Track and Trace will not function. People who feel fine won't isolate. This explains how and why the virus spread so rapidly in many countries even though they were locked down.

A near certainty and we should use the time to prepare. Instead we are normalizing dangerous behavior like going to the pub and gyms. The logic appears to be we can shut them then, but it will have spread again by the time the government reluctantly reverses its decision to open.
