Maybe the NFU should have not sat on the fence six years ago then? Most farmers voted to leave; a lot of them campaigned for it and they continue to vote for the tories who defined and implemented it. They knew what they were voting for. They won, get over it.

Unfortunately, the metropolitan elite who negotiated and signed these deals don't give a toss about the implications for farmers. In much the same way that the metropolitan elite responsible for the EU brexit trade deal don't care about its impact on ordinary people.
