The 50-year-old actress 'excited to get back in' her role, adding that she's 'really, really grateful to get back to it,' after she announced that she would be rejoining the horror franchise for the upcoming seventh film.

In March, the Wild Things alum revealed on her social media that she would be reprising her role as the iconic 'final girl' Sidney Prescott from the first five Scream films. 'When they first approached me , I thought,"I don't know what respectful looks like to them. We might be in very different places."'It feels nice to have put that out into the world and to have been listened to and to have made a difference in that way,' she added. 'I hope other people get that opportunity too.'

A few weeks ago in March, Campbell announced that she would be returning to her role for the upcoming seventh movie. About her return, she said she was also 'grateful' that the studio listened to her and approached her with a higher starting offer after their salary dispute last year leading to her exiting the franchise; seen in January 2024
