Netflix has announced a live action Gears of War film and an animated series | VGC

It said the movie will be followed by a Gears of War adult animated series and possibly further projects. The news was revealed on Monday to coincide with the 16th anniversary of the Gears of War franchise’s launch.

Gears of War originally owned by Epic Games, but years later became permanently owned by Microsoft (through Xbox) due to nothing according to Blezsinski. GeoW soon to have a potential 'R-rated' live-action film and even animated TV show.
