Schools celebrate record-breaking return for students in year disrupted by pandemic

Nearly 45% of A-level entries across the UK have been awarded top grades in A-level results, a record-breaking return for students after more than a year of disruption and school closures during the pandemic.

What's the obsession with grades in the UK? Your society is dumb and backwards in general. Itmeans literally nothing but making you feel superior when you are really not. I've lived here for 20 years and it's medieval country lying to itself is something else.

It's not young peoples fault but the 2020 and 2021 results are just not comparable with previous years. What happens if we have exams in 2022 and the results bomb? That would be unfair on that cohort so politically they will also have to be adjusted. The system needs resetting.
