The EU has warned, if the UK's exit from the bloc is delayed beyond the European Parliament elections between 23-26 May, it will have to elect MEPs to serve in Brussels and Strasbourg. The last time Mrs May saw her Brexit deal rejected by MPs, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn tabled a confidence motion in the government, in the hope of forcing a general election.
Rather than be forced into requesting an extension to Article 50 through a Commons vote, the prime minister might decide to seek a short delay to Brexit herself. The prime minister could keep to her chosen tactic and stick with her Brexit deal. Mrs May will hope the threat of the UK's exit from the EU never taking place - or being substantially delayed - could force Brexiteer MPs to swallow their opposition and eventually back her deal.EU leaders are set to gather for a Brussels summit on 21 March to discuss Brexit.
Get someone in charge who knows what he. Is doing for gods sake we are the laughing stock of the world✌️😡 😡!
We’ll don’t get asking Theresa May that cus she ent got a clue
We walk away... simples
Whole things a shambles - makes the voting at the Eurovision Song Contest look professional by comparison..
Look what you did
If we believe in democracy! What’s the point in ever voting again ?
Definitely no deal
crack on with walking away with no deal and honouring the democratic result of 23rd June 2016 or British politics is dead !!
I hope that Brexit happen on the due date of the 29th smoothly and Mrs May will keep her job.
Blow up Parliament May be? No point being governed by these muppets anymore. An absolute disgrace to their constituencies, against democracy & hope MP’s will realise their severe error of judgement come GE. BrexitChaos BrexitShambles sackthePM sackHammond
God knows
Has to be no deal, democracy dies if it isn’t. Can we have a re-vote on next Gen election please, we didn’t like the result
Majority of MPs want us to remain there lays the problem
The bloody jobsworths! Shall we keep voting until it’s the one they want? Public decided now stick by her fools
The govt must do what we told it to do in 2016. They asked us, we said Leave. They effectively asked us again in the 2016 GE. Why won't Remain accept the result? Remain makes communist dictatorships seem democratic.
Sounds of the Universe
Second referendum is now only solution. Election Commission should vet all facts being put out in second referendum to avoid repeat of farcical first referendum. This vote by MPs a travesty; they should be ashamed.
All part of the master plan to stop brexit. Tomorrow MP’s will vote against no deal and then they’ll hand it back to the people with a essentially two remain options.
Easy, do what 17m voters chosen to do, what feels like a decade ago!
Politicians making a fuck up of everything yet again. Only caring about what they want and not what the people want. Absolute shambles
No deal no problem
Think the whole of parliament should be ashamed of themselves they have let this country down and are only interested in themselves time for the people to decide May's deal or no deal
We need no deal
We surrender to the Germans?
No deal
Democracy by the privileged few and not for the people... The day democracy died in our once Great Britain... democracy RIP
They vote again, I didn't like the result so they should keep going until it goes the other way.
We sack em all
No deal hopefully
I didn’t vote for a deal. I voted to leave.
The Eu have every right to say bye now. An extension will do nothing as the MPs all want different things and can’t agree on anything there is no majority Brexit deal, only the referendum result is now irrelevant and ignored pointlessvote
Why vote it’s so obvious what will happen. Ask for an extension, more defeats then Brexit won’t happen. Not that I voted for it but this is really making a joke of democracy!
No deal
Britain have to get rid of Notthern Ireland to have the Brexit they want , they can’t have both - and Northern Ireland votes remain !
This is all part of the master plan. Drag it out. P*ss off the electorate so they get bored/fed up/lose the will. Cancel Brexit. Stay in. Job done by the back door.
She's had two years to sort this out she should resign immediately and let's have a no deal
Just cancel like you have wanted for 2.5 years
May’s best Turd Deal has been defeated once again! We really hope she doesn’t go back to Brussels again! Enough is enough! We’re heading for a GeneralElection now! NoBrexit is in sight too! What a result!! PeoplesVote Thank goodness for that! 👏👏 MayMustResignNow
Prety obvious, EU will not allow long extension because of EU elections, UK have a choice No Deal or revoke article 50. No deal will be taken off the table, then they will be forced to revoke article 50 because No deal taken off table and long extension refused.
If they want the people to decide let the entitled mps put themselves up for a public vote and let's get rid of the bloody lot of them a general election first then look at a in or out of Europe vote sick of all this back biteing
Omg! Reece-Mogg is a nasty spiteful man the British people are not sitting in parliament voting this stick in the ass man blew it royally with tonight's vote!
HARD BREXIT GET TRAITOR MAY OUT!
If Brexit was dealt with cross party from day one we would have this resolved! Instead we have had a 3 year pissing competition! Ridiculous!
We need tp leave NOW!
We leave with no deal! Crack on with it prime minister the democracy is waiting...
