Market losses wiped out any benefits industry might have enjoyed from fall in claims due to cancellation of elective surgery

The coronavirus pandemic has plunged the already troubled private health insurance industry deeper into crisis, with funds losing money in the first three months of the year as financial markets crashed.

Nothing is safe from COVID-19. And it appears as if soon everything will go bust. Unless reasonable measures are put in place to counter that. In a way China, deliberately or otherwise played it IMMORAL/ DIRTY against the rest of the world, in how it handled COVID-19.

Typical Guardian, knocking the private health business, many of us have had excellent treatment from them. They also do a lot of work paid for by the NHS gastric banding people to lazy to stop eating!

Dentists been closed, and operations, doctors cannot do diagnosis over phones, or facetime they need to speak to trusts about mis management, and confusion in hospitals staff are facing.

Best plan more new build hospitals then for them to own and the peasants to hire. PFI version 2 I wonder how much of the £600m hospital harlow is getting will be owned by the state ... Another scam ?
