Wearing a black coat that says ‘adventure’ on it, James was last seen on the 363-metre-high hill about a mile northeast of Horwich at 12.30pm today. Rivington Pike is well-known among locals as a go-to hiking spot, with the summit offering a view of the West Pennine Moors. Police said at around 7.
‘Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal for the missing boy at #RivingtonPike,’ the force said on X. ‘Thankfully, he has now been found safe and well. Huge thank you to everyone for their help and support with this one. ‘A huge team effort and a positive outcome.’ Police had said James is non-verbal, which is also called nonspeaking autism. This means James may not speak or can only say a few words.
