The weather has been pretty miserable for the last few weeks, and unfortunately things look set to continue for the week ahead. As if that weren't enough, gale force winds are expected to start the week, with colder temperatures arriving later in the week. Here's what we can expect for the weather in Northern Ireland this week:Frequent, often heavy showers, perhaps merging to give some longer spells of rain later in the day. Strong to gale force northwest winds. Maximum temperature 7C.
A few light showers or some will still be possible at times, if these develop they will be slightly more likely to affect northern and eastern areas. Temperatures will overall be close to average, probably quite a muted daily cycle in cloudier areas.
