The mum-of-two opened up on why she decided to get her implants removed

RuPaul's Drag Race star Michelle Visage, 53, says her heart started beating irregularly just two years after getting breast implants.

Michelle told OK!: "There is so much misinformation out there about the safety of breast implants and there are hundreds of thousands of sick women who are told they are crazy and they are "healthy" when they know damn well that they are none of the above! Discussing why she got her implants removed, the Drag Race judge explained: "My health had been declining for years, actually within the first two years of getting implants my heart started beating irregularly and then slowly I developed an autoimmune condition and soon....after 20 plus years of chasing my health it dawned on me!

"Older studies showed no clear scientific evidence connecting these conditions to breast implants — silicone or saline-filled. However, newer studies from different sources have found an association between silicone breast implants and certain autoimmune diseases." Posing with implants in her hands, the star was praised by fans for her honesty: "So happy you’re healthier now! Thanks for ur brave story, mamma!" Wrote one.

Discussing the new season, Michelle told OK! viewers can expect "more of what they love," adding: "There's an entirely new group of extremely talented queens who are raring to go."
