The sun has indeed got its hat on again after a week of cooler temperatures and grey clouds which covered the city.
The Met Office has previously said temperatures across the UK will rise close to 30C this month as a mini heatwave hits the country - and it is not too far away.In its UK-wide forecast for a week commencing Thursday, June 8, the Met Office says: "The start of the period will most likely be generally dry and sunny across the UK. However, cloudy with an odd spot of rain in the far north.
BBC Weather predicts that Leeds will be seeing highs of 26C just a week from now - with temperatures hotting up as the week goes on. Monday is expected to see temperatures of 21C, but they cool back down again to 19C on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday will see higher temperatures that will continue to rise from 20C, to 21C on Friday, 26C on Saturday and 26C on Sunday. These are expected to continue right through to Friday, June 16, where they will drop - but not too far only to 22C.
