Married At First Sight’s Jonathan is 'blocking a divorce' to Steph, it has been claimed – despite the unhappy pair calling it quits over two years ago.
The newlyweds split just weeks after walking down the aisle following their disastrous honeymoon in Spain. The Channel 4 show sees group of singles agree to marry partners chosen for them by their team of relationship experts.Now The Sun suggest Jonathan is refusing to let go – and that he won't rubber stamp their divorce more than two years on.“Jonathan is refusing to sign divorce papers so they’re still legally married. They were never really a couple - it was pretty obvious there was no connection between them from the second they got married, but they tried to give it a go and get on.
“Now he’s refusing to end the marriage. It’s almost like he can’t deal with the fact that it didn’t work out, and now Steph’s stuck in the marriage and can’t move forward.”However, they decided to plough on with the wedding but when the cameras were switched off things quickly turned sour. Property manager Jonathan, 41, and nurse Steph "couldn't stand the sight of each other" a pal said weeks after they split.After their split, a friend of Steph told The Sun: “You can tell from the filming that the Yeovil night out with Steph and Jonathan happened the same night as his family came over!!
