Manchester City have denied claims their players celebrated winning the Premier League with a chant mocking the Hillsborough tragedy and injured Liverpool fan Sean Cox.
A video emerged on social media which appeared to show City players singing a distasteful version of Liverpool's"Allez Allez Allez" chant on their return flight from Brighton on Sunday. The song makes reference to Liverpool fans"crying in the stands" and being"battered on the streets" at last year's Champions League final in Kiev, which Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid. In a statement, Manchester City insisted the song in question has been a regular chant during the 2018-19 season and refers to last year's Champions League final in Kiev, which Liverpool lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.
Reports also suggested the song referred to City captain Vincent Kompany injuring Mohamed Salah earlier in the season.

Liverpool fans themselves have made this about Sean Cox & Hillsborough. Using 2 horrible events to get sympathy coz they blew the league themselves
SkySportsNews i know your desperate for clicks but try to use some common sense
Can you link me to your site's outrage when United players sang 'Why dont City f*ck off home' 2 days after the Manchester bombing when Manchester was meant to be United for those innocent people that died? I'll wait
The Sky Liverpool propaganda machine rolls on. As a scouse Evertonian please don’t associate anything this club does with the blue half of this city, makes me ashamed.
Justice for the 39!!! When do we get countless public inquiries and persecution of LFC fans? 🤔
Change the fuck1ng record BORING
Lmfao 😂

Breaking News: City players mock the Smurfs in sickening sexual chant, that uses the phrase, 'Blue Moon'. The FA, UEFA and Mersyside police are set to investigate this abhorrent behaviour. More to follow
What knobheads are putting this out there. It’s not even worth a debate, bloody Hillsborough can’t get away from it
Drunks again just like at Hillsboro
not even a story move along
OH FFS.. HERE WE GO AGAIN..
Lol, Liverpool fans thinking everything is about them as usual , the victim card
Incredible propaganda. Completely made up, always need a reason to be a victim. This is pathetic.
'I'm disgusted' - Brother of Sean Cox blasts Man City players after controversial song about 'battered' Liverpool fans ManCity
Probably because he has nothing to do with hillsborough!!
What’s that I hear, the anti LFC trolls response.
Piss boiling machine
Instead of getting all offended over a song shouldn't you be getting offended at throwing people in fountains, smashing away buses up and murdering 39 Italians . But no, a song is the one we go with
You can stop it now Sky, Liverpool lost
Oh it’s Hillsborough now is it? Fuck me you lot are absolutely tragic
Some like to wallow in misery. How long its been . Time to move on.
Wow this is escalating
Suppose singing Ramos injured Salah is islamophobic now
spreading lies and creating headlines without researching context or content for the sake of hits. Trash journalism
It’s to be hoped they didn’t mock this tragedy Mancunians know how difficult it is to deal with a tragedy
Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.
Liverpool fans making the song about a tragedy that it makes no reference to isn’t even surprising is it
Liverpool fans attacked mancitys coach last season, no fuss was thrown.. Now ManCity can't even celebrate a trophy without reporting trash
Always the victims
That’s because it has nothing to do with Hillsborough
Wtf r u on about!!
This cannot be real. What is this absolute nonsense!
And so when Liverpool say “we’ve conquered all of Europe”, are they mocking WWII and the Allies taking control of all of Europe?
These ridiculous articles are exactly why we sing ‘always the victims’. The song is about Kiev last season. End of.
Sky News bin dipper state tv
The chant literally makes no reference to Hillsborough but carry on..
It's about hillsborough now? fucking hell. Get a grip.
Despite video evidence...
Classless wouldn’t expect anything less
They can deny it all they want, that'ssimply what this chant was about, clear and simple - Whether they think it or not - Naivety at its best.
It just absolutely doesn’t
What a bunch of tosspots.
You what?
Of course they did
They did nothing wrong they just sang a song that’s sang by their fans it’s just Liverpool being desperate to be victims of it all once again !
Lies
Denial FC
The media wishing Liverpool had won the league
They could actually sing a few songs about their own players who made history, rather than constantly singing about Liverpool. Pathetic. You would expect it from fans but not players. Clowns
Of all the clubs to pick on they choose the bullied club! We will never hear the end of this
Can’t wait for lfc vs Man City newt season May be a bit fiesty 💪
No it didn't though did it
There was just no need for it. They beat Liverpool in a head to head race for the title where there were no 'mind games' between managers or over the top hatred between the two fanbases. So weird.
Does it fuck
