A man was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries following a possible assault in Manchester on Tuesday afternoon . The incident, which is thought to have occured around 2.50pm, saw a huge emergency services response beside a bus stop on busy Wilmslow Road, in Rusholme.
Police temporarily blocked off the north side of the road, heading into Manchester city centre, causing heavy congestion and delays. Numerous paramedics treated the casualty temporarily at the scene. Later in the evening, the man was then taken into an ambulance stretcher and rushed to hospital. There were multiple police vehicles and two ambulances at the scene that arrived on blue lights as officers ensured any passers-by were swiftly moved on from the area.
