The pedestrian, who is an adult male, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Watford General Hospital by ambulance services during the night.A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a drug driving offence and released while an investigation continues.

Disabled man carried to flat after lift broke downAdam had to be carried up six flights of stairs in his wheelchair not too long ago as the lifts in his block regularly break down. He now fears that if the block had to be evacuated, he wouldn't be able to get out quickly. I had similar worries and was never provided an evacuation plan. I was lucky enough to move out - but I would sleep in hour stints and was terrified. I hope Adam manages to get the support needed. Thank you for covering this story. The lifts are not rocket science. Just keep the regular maintenance up . The lack of disability access could affect any of us at any time, I can't quite get it in to my head why other people can't understand this.
