FlyAirNZ have done this for ages, but with a much better product in their SkyCouch. I flew LHR to LAX with them, and the difference was amazing!!
Will allow? It’s as if it wasn’t allowed before! Nobody will pay. Most likely Lufthansa is planning to stop people from using empty seats next to them as beds unless they paid!

Air New Zealand have been doing this for a few years. They are called Sky Couches. They work well and I actually found them more comfortable than Premium Economy. Good way of selling more seats, do you get 3 meals?
