Jess Hayes has revealed the meaning behind her daughter's adorable name which was inspired by an A-list star. The Love Island star welcomed a baby girl on 30 April, with her businessman fiancé Zeb after suffering two miscarriages.
Revealing her daughter's name, Jess told us: "So, her name is Zendaya Rose but I’ve shortened it to Zenny Rose. I’ve just been calling her Zenny because I think it’s really cute." Their daughter's name holds another special quality as it means "to give thanks", according to NameBerry. This comes from the word thanks in the Shona language, spoken in Zimbabwe and southern Zambia.
Rose comes from the Latin Rosa, in reference to the flower. Evidence also suggests it was "a Norman variation of the Germanic name Hrodohaidis, meaning 'famous type'" as well as Hros, "horse" - NameBerry explains that in Old English it was "translated as Roese and Rohese."
