Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford announced that from March 13, the ‘stay at home’ rule would be replaced with ‘stay local’.

People in Wales are now able to travel further afield, as the lockdown in force since before Christmas was eased today.

From today, four people from two households will be allowed to meet outdoors to socialise, including in people’s gardens.Outdoor sports facilities including basketball courts, tennis courts and golf courses are also free to reopen. Indoor care home visits with one person are also allowed again.From Monday, hairdressers and barbers will be allowed to serve customers by appointment only.

Headteachers will be given flexibility to bring year 10 and 12 students back while more college learners will return.
