Thousands of runners from the city and beyond will take part in the Liverpool Half Marathon on Sunday, March 17.
As with any big running event, there will be road closures along the route. However, from the eight mile mark at Aigburth Drive, all runners will be off the public highway.READ MORE: One lucky Aintree racegoer could win ultimate Ladies Day package As the race begins at 9am on Canada Boulevard, there will be no traffic movement between 8.55am and 9.20am as the runners leave.
There will be no access to Water Street or Canada Boulevard. Access to Brunswick Street on the river side of the Strand will operate for residents only. Runners will also occupy both sides of Croxteth Drive between the caves exit point and Aigburth Drive between 9.15-10.15am .

St Patrick's Day Celebrations and Liverpool Half MarathonSt Patrick's Day celebrations and the Liverpool Half Marathon will take place across the city centre on Sunday. The 13.1-mile BTR Liverpool Half Marathon event will start at 9am on Sunday, March 17 from the Pier Head.
