St Patrick's Day celebrations and the Liverpool Half Marathon will take place across the city centre on Sunday. The 13.1-mile BTR Liverpool Half Marathon event will start at 9am on Sunday, March 17 from the Pier Head. This also includes the 9th annual BTR Liverpool 10 Mile Road Race , which starts at the same time. Runners will pass through Princes Park and Sefton Park, and along the Promenade, before passing the rear of the Albert Dock in the final mile.
As with any big running event, there will be road closures along the route. However, from the eight mile mark at Aigburth Drive, all runners will be off the public highway.
