There is zero chance our NHS can handle this. Good. I work in infection control scenarios all the time, and masks don't work by themselves if we don't wash our hands. One thing that has been consistently helpful in my workplace is the use of hand sanitizer gel. I use it whenever I have been to a store. Better plan than China at least.

NHS starts testing suspected coronavirus patients in their own homesThe move means ambulances can be kept in action instead of having to be deep-cleaned after every suspected case. No way NHS will cope with this. I did loads of visits during Swine Flu in 2009; takes far too much clinical time. 11y on the numbers of clinicians visiting is far less & will not be able to undertake this work as maintain current standards of emergency care.
