Letters: Steve Flatley, Les Bright, Charles Harris and Mark Goodall reflect on the review of the party’s 2019 general election defeat

As a Labour party member, I agree with the thrust of the review into its defeat last December and the way forward . Over the course of the campaign I was out most nights canvassing and it became clear that Labour was heading for a heavy defeat. I encountered swathes of socially conservative Labour voters who would not back Jeremy Corbyn. The most telling factor was the lack of swing voters who would not back Labour even though they disliked the Tories.

The tories have decimated this country for 10 years with cuts, austerity and wasted years and £trillions on Brexit. Has a much higher rate of racism and last year put up a statue to one of their MPs a well-known anti-semite. They've also given us the highest Covid-19 death rate. Hello How are you?
