Elfsborg bosses have vowed to give departing manager Jimmy Thelin a "proper" send off ahead of his summer move to Aberdeen.
The former Jonkopings Sodra boss will also be joined at Aberdeen by his two assistants, Christer Persson and Emir Bajrami, with both the coaching and playing staff set for another shake-up at Cormack Park next summer. Aberdeen have failed to secure a top six finish in the Premiership but could still end the season on a high as interim manager Peter Leven gears up for a meeting with Celtic in the last four of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.
Elfsborg director Stefan Andreasson has revealed the Reds lengthy pursuit of Thelin and has promised that his club will give their departing boss the best possible send-off before he swaps the Allsvenskan for the Scottish Premiership. In a statement on their official website, he said: "Aberdeen have shown a serious interest in Jimmy's services for a long time and we now have an agreement with Aberdeen which means that Jimmy will only join them on June 3.
